What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage in your browser. Websites use them to remember settings or to measure how the site is used.
What Car Cost Guide uses
ccg-consent(browser storage, set by Car Cost Guide). Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies. Kept for 12 months, then we ask again. It does not need your consent, because it is how we respect your choice._ga(cookie, set by Google Analytics). Distinguishes visitors so we can count how many people use the site. Expires after 13 months. Only set if you accept._ga_followed by our Google Analytics property code (cookie, set by Google Analytics). Keeps track of your visit for Google Analytics. Expires after 13 months. Only set if you accept.
We do not use advertising, social media or marketing cookies. Our calculators work in your browser; the figures you enter are not saved on your device or sent to us or to Google.
Your choice
On your first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Accept and Reject are equally easy, and nothing is set until you choose. If you reject them, or ignore the banner, Google Analytics is not loaded.
To change your mind, use Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. If you withdraw consent, Google Analytics stops collecting data and we delete its cookies from your browser.
Our Privacy Policy explains what Google Analytics collects and why.
Other websites
When you follow a link to another website, that site's own cookies and policies apply.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. Blocking cookies does not stop this site working.
Changes to this policy
If we change the cookies or similar technologies we use, we will update this page first, and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
